Who are we?
Bevar Ukraine is a humanitarian non-profit organization registered in Denmark.
We operate on the principles of international humanitarian law (the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, the European Social Charter) and support the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in particular the fight against poverty.
We unite Ukrainians and Danes in a common mission — to support the civilian population affected by Russian aggression, to contribute to the recovery and development of Ukraine, and to foster the building of a civil society.
History and geography of the organization
Bevar Ukraine was founded in 2014. At that time, our organization collected and delivered emergency humanitarian aid to the eastern regions of Ukraine, which were the first to experience the devastating consequences of the war unleashed by Russia — primarily to hospitals and orphanages in frontline communities.
After Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022, we significantly increased the scope and expanded the geography of our support for Ukraine. This has been made possible in particular thanks to Bevar Ukraine’s offices in different regions of Denmark, which work together in a coordinated effort to fulfill our common mission.
Our activities
Bevar Ukraine provides humanitarian aid and support to the civilian population of Ukraine, with special attention to vulnerable groups: children, wounded veterans, displaced persons, and families of the fallen.
Every month, we send humanitarian shipments to Ukraine: food, clothing, school furniture and supplies, functional beds, and medical equipment for hospitals, among others. At the same time, we provide psychological and socio-legal support to Ukrainian displaced persons in Denmark.
Our projects are aimed at fostering solidarity, transparency, and mutual support both within the country and at the international level. Their implementation would not be possible without your continuous support.
Transparent partnership
We are grateful to our partners in Denmark and Ukraine. Bevar Ukraine operates thanks to the combined efforts of volunteers, companies, municipalities, and caring individuals.
100% of the funds raised are directed to Ukraine’s needs. Our financial reporting is publicly available.
We greatly value the support of our long-term partners and are at the same time open to new forms of cooperation that can help Ukraine.
