A Fight for Survival in the Shadow of War
In the heart of Europe, Ukraine faces a brutal winter, marked not only by harsh climate but also by the consequences of a war that has shaken the world.
Since Russia’s invasion in February 2022, the country has been plagued by massive destruction, making the upcoming winter a struggle for survival for millions of Ukrainians.
In the war-torn areas, homes, hospitals, schools, and critical infrastructure have been destroyed.
Millions are fleeing or have lost their homes, now lacking access to necessities like heat and electricity.
For many Ukrainians, winter is no longer just a season, but an enemy that brings additional suffering and challenges.
The process of winterization has become an essential and urgent necessity.
“Bevar Ukraine”, works tirelessly to ensure the Ukrainian civilian population can survive the harsh winter. Through donations and volunteer work, we contribute to providing emergency aid and support to the Ukrainian people, through a range of projects, from restoring drinking water supplies and emergency relief in Ukraine to counseling and psychological help in Denmark.
We are in close dialogue with our sister organization and partners in Ukraine, which means we are keenly aware of the acute needs of the Ukrainian civilian population.
We are currently focusing on collecting funds for generators, firewood, and power banks.
Due to the very harsh, unpredictable winter, and intensified attacks by the Russians, the needs of the civilian population can change quickly, so the list will be updated as the winter progresses.
Your support can help a family stay warm, provide a child with a warm meal, or assist in the rebuilding of homes, hospitals, schools, and critical infrastructure.
