Advocacy

Influential force

Today, Ukraine is fighting not only for itself but also for Europe’s democratic values. Every word, event, or public gesture can become a step toward greater solidarity.

Bevar Ukraine builds cooperation with representatives of politics, business, government institutions, civil society, and opinion leaders in order to strengthen international support for Ukraine.

Meeting with Mette Frederiksen

In February 2024, our office was visited by the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen. She spoke with Ukrainian refugees and listened to stories about how the war has changed their lives. Such direct communication between a politician and people makes it possible to better understand their needs and find solutions for support.

At the same time, Denmark’s example demonstrates the importance of people-centered public policy: more than 40,000 Ukrainians have found protection from the war in this country, and a significant number have already integrated into the economy, working and paying taxes, while gaining new knowledge and professional skills that will also be valuable for Ukraine’s post-war recovery.

Visit of the First Lady of Ukraine

In April 2024, the Bevar Ukraine office was visited by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. During the visit, the discussion focused on the importance of psychological support for people who find themselves in unusual circumstances and the role of the “How are you?” program, implemented under her patronage. Special attention was given to the challenges faced by Ukrainian refugees in Denmark, as well as the significance of educational, integration, and humanitarian projects.

Such meetings help shape a vision of how to connect today’s support for Ukrainians in Denmark with their future return and participation in Ukraine’s reconstruction.

One Day for Ukraine

In June 2024, Danish politicians, government officials, diplomats, and business leaders gathered at our warehouse in Ringsted as part of the social initiative One Day for Ukraine. Together, we loaded three trucks with humanitarian aid (medical supplies, equipment, furniture) for Ukrainian hospitals.

This event demonstrated that the consolidation of different sectors in Denmark can transform support for Ukraine into concrete and tangible action.

Cultural Diplomacy

Bevar Ukraine engages in cultural diplomacy to strengthen ties between Denmark and Ukraine.

Through art events, discussions, exhibitions, concerts, and information campaigns, we share the truth about the war in Ukraine, highlight the need to support Ukrainians in these difficult times, bring the topic of European solidarity to the forefront, and build bridges of understanding.

Culture reflects our values and meanings. Join in supporting Ukraine through culture.
