Bevar Ukraine Psychological Support Center

Life Under Stress During the War

Ukrainians today live in a state of constant stress, regardless of where they are.

The trauma of war, separation from loved ones, loss of work and familiar life, uncertainty about the future, as well as the challenges of cultural adaptation, language barriers, and lack of social connections — all deeply affect the quality of life and both mental and physical health.

The psychologists of Bevar Ukraine provide various types of support, including free consultations for Ukrainian refugees and veterans receiving treatment in Denmark under the Medevac program, as well as for their families.

Individual Consultations

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, specialists of the Bevar Ukraine Psychological Support Center have conducted more than 4,000 consultations.

Individual psychological consultations are a safe and confidential space where you can share what’s troubling you. We don’t offer ready-made solutions, but together we search for the path toward inner balance.

Inna Dolia, who leads the Bevar Ukraine Psychological Support Center, has been providing supportive consultations for Ukrainian displaced persons for the past three years. She has helped many of them overcome the challenges of relocation.

We offer six free sessions with our psychologists — either in person at the Bevar Ukraine office or online.

Psychological Support Hotline

Our service “Psychological Support Hotline” is available for Ukrainian displaced persons.

If you are struggling, having difficulty communicating with your child or partner, facing challenges at work, or simply feel that you have no strength left, the psychologists of Bevar Ukraine encourage you not to face it alone. Together, it is easier to find a way through a difficult situation.

Every Ukrainian who needs support can call our hotline. We work at times convenient for you — mornings and evenings on weekdays.
One of our colleagues responsible for the hotline is psychologist Natalia Ben. She deeply understands the difficulties and psychological challenges that Ukrainians face every day. Many things can be discussed — and improved.

Call us and share what’s on your mind — it’s anonymous and completely safe.
The hotline is open on weekdays from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 19:00 to 21:00.

Supportive Art Therapy

Bevar Ukraine organizes supportive art therapy sessions, including for elderly people and persons with disabilities.

Creative activities in a friendly environment have a positive impact on psychological and emotional well-being: they relieve tension, restore inner balance, awaken vitality, activate personal resources, and help with social adaptation.

Psychologist and art therapist Yulia Dmukh, who leads the groups, emphasizes that this is not just a pleasant way to spend time together, but a process of self-work that helps participants express their true emotions.

We invite you to join a group and experience art therapy for yourself.
Currently, sessions are held in Copenhagen.

Psychological Education

The psychologists of Bevar Ukraine regularly hold online webinars and in-person meetings for Ukrainian displaced persons.

They professionally explain the psychological reactions to stress, trauma, and loss, and talk about the basics of psychological first aid, self-help, emotional literacy, and healthy communication.

Awareness is the first step toward inner stability and mental health.

Yuna Lototska — an experienced psychologist, transformation expert, author of the book “The Theory of 10 Choices”and the intensive program EQ BootCamp, lecturer at LvBS, KMBS, and UAL, leadership program trainer, and blogger — has created a series of lectures and webinars specifically for Ukrainian displaced persons in Denmark as part of the Bevar Ukraine Psychological Support Center initiative.

A Huge Thank You to Our Donors

In 2023, our activities were supported by Tryg Fonden, and now our initiatives are made possible thanks to the support of Ramboll Fonden and Spar Nord Fonden.

A huge thank you to our donors for their trust and belief in our shared mission — to promote the psychological recovery of Ukrainians.
