Do you want to help where it really matters?
The war in Ukraine continues. Behind the headlines, there are still people who need practical help and human support.
Bevar Ukraine is a volunteer-driven organization in Denmark that supports Ukrainians, both in Denmark and Ukraine, through humanitarian aid, rehabilitation programs for veterans, and community-based initiatives.
Our work depends on people who choose to take action.
As a volunteer, you can contribute in a way that fits your time and your skills.
You don’t need previous experience. You’ll be supported by a team and a coordinator. Your time can make a real difference for people who need it right now.

What is the value of volunteering at Bevar Ukraine?
Klaus Thage
I became a volunteer at Bevar Ukraine because I experience that the work is structured and serious when aid is collected and sent by truck. The other volunteers are nice to talk with, and there is a pleasant atmosphere there. I am motivated to help because the need for our support and help can be expressed in a larger setting. I would really encourage people to share and give some of their time, if it is possible.

Elvin Kim Budich Pedersen
From the very beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, I was motivated by my inner sense of “right and wrong,” and at the same time, close friends pulled me into the work.
In the early days, I tried to help with logistics at the Polish border in Przemyśl. Here I helped, among other things, a small family get to Denmark and had a mother and daughter living with me for 4 months, until the authorities took over.
Many of the Ukrainian volunteers are already my close friends, and it’s easier to motivate each other when we are already connected through volunteer work.
This is also because of the Friday meetings, where we meet and network and socialize together, without actual “volunteer work.”

What is the value of volunteering at Bevar Ukraine?
Niels Madsen
I help Bevar Ukraine because what Russia is doing to Ukraine is unjust and terrible. I am angry about it, and I have a need to do something about it.
Bevar Ukraine was the natural choice for me because I already had contact before the war began. In fact, I started in 2003 helping Ukrainians create a different life. I wanted to make a difference in the world, not just watch television.
Helping Bevar Ukraine gives meaning to my life, and many people around me think that I am making a difference and am cool, and it gives me energy to continue helping even more.
